Heartcore – Soft values drives hard results Oy offers radically compassionate solutions for facing and solving difficult and unpleasant situations in working life and for well-being at work in (mentally) challenging work.

Our mission is to eliminate indifference and increase its opposite, compassion, in organizations. With this, we want to create more functional, effective, sustainable and prosperous organizations and working life.

For organizations we offer trainings and keynote speeches based on research and strong practical work experience. Themes:

  • Radical compassionate attitude and action at work and in solving the challenging situations of working life
  • Unpleasant work situations: encountering them, addressing difficult issues and interacting
  • Well-being at work in a (mentally) challenging and stressful job

Our trainings and speeches are most suitable for professionals from employers to leaders and employees working in human resources, in customer service and with human relations.

We are value-led company. Everything we talk, do and pursue are motivated by radical compassion, radical courage and wise action based on the interconnected world and the responsibility we all have as a employers, leaders and employees.

Company founders and trainers

Tiina Alakärppä (PhD researcher at the University of Turku, Master of Theology, Sexual Therapist, Certified TRE Provider) has trained professionals from HR, police, Prison and Probation Services, social services, health sector and sexology as well as university students on how to face challenging situations in client work, how to address unpleasant issues and how to interact in compassionate and respectful way in the most unpleasant situations. Tiina has been working mainly in NGO’s: in fundraising (customer service), developing multicultural organizations (coordinator) and promoting sexual health among immigrants (project manager). She has also worked as a project manager and sexual therapist in a project funded by the Ministry of Justice (2021-2025). The main aim of the project was to develop methods to prevent recidivism of people with a foreign background who have committed sexual offences. Tiina’s book was published on 28th of August, in which she discusses her work as a therapist, processes she needed to go through to be able to do the work and methods she uses to maintain her well-being at work. Tiina’s doctoral thesis discusses everyday Islam and sexual agency: more specifically female genital mutilation, double standards and the concept of virginity, sexual modesty and prisoners religious coping.  

Ari-Pekka Jääskeläinen (PhD researcher at the University of Helsinki, M.Sc in work, welfare and wellbeing, M.Sc Economics and Business Administration, Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction teacher) has more than 15 years of extensive work experience in HR field. He has worked as a HR specialist in developing rewarding systems and well-being at work and most recently solving disciplinary problems and developing disciplinary action policies. In his doctoral thesis Ari-Pekka discusses moderns Buddhism in Finland and its influences in modern and postsecular society. One of his research interests is meditation and mindfulness at work.
